This Is Our Most Eco Friendly Packaging Yet — And It’s Only the Beginning

BEAUTY

You already know that our mission goes beyond makeup that helps you look your best, but beyond clean formulas and giving back to our community, we’re also committed to creating more eco friendly packaging for our products. Sustainability is a journey and one of our current focuses is taking steps to reduce waste. We’ve transitioned our cartons to FSC-certified paper from responsibly managed forests, introduced makeup bags made from recycled plastic bottles and we’re working hard to minimize our use of plastic and virgin materials.

This brings us to the AGELESS Phyto-Retinol* Skincare Collection. Our brand-new vegan skincare offers powerful anti-aging benefits without the irritation that comes with traditional retinol. The secret is Picão Preto, a plant we source responsibly. Another reason to love it? It’s just as kind to the planet as it is to your skin.

“The caps are made using post-consumer recycled content (PCR), instead of virgin materials and the bottle is glass instead of your typical plastic pump,” Julie Shulman, Packaging Design Director, explains. PCR comes from items that we recycle every day, which are melted down and molded into brand new items. Each of the four products in the AGELESS Skincare Collection is made with 100% PCR caps as well as glass bottles — making it our most eco friendly packaging yet.

If you’re looking to extend the life of your AGELESS packaging even further, you can wash out the glass jars when you’ve finished the product and reuse it as a planter or as a base for other DIY craft projects. Dress it up with paint or twine to fit with your home decor — really, the options are endless.

Of course, our AGELESS packaging is just the beginning. Some of our sustainability goals for the future? “To reduce the amount of plastic and material waste and work toward reducing our carbon footprint,” Julie says. “By 2026 100% of our packaging will include recycled and/or recyclable materials.”
