Introducing our Global Ambassadors

NEWS PEOPLE

We’re here to champion honest beauty that’s full of what’s good and free of what’s fake. Clean without compromise is a way of life for us, and along the way we’ve discovered that some of the world’s most influential women feel the exact same way. Today, we’re very proud to announce our new Global Ambassadors, four women who love clean bareMinerals products and truly embody our belief in the Power of Good.

On a hazy fall morning we celebrated the new partnerships at Jams, Jonathan Waxman’s laid back, seasonal spot at the 1 Hotel Central Park. The room was filled with greenery and tables were laden with fresh figs and melons and, of course, our iconic ORIGINAL Foundation. Florals reigned on the guests as well, who played with new highlighters and chatted with bareMinerals President Jill Scalamandre while Hailey Baldwin, soy cappuccino in hand, lit up the room, posing for photos and chatting with guests. Hailey, our Clean Beauty Ambassador who was first introduced to the brand by her mother, an ORIGINAL Foundation fan, positively glowed with a radiant, natural look done by new bareMinerals Global Makeup Artist Nikki DeRoest. Jill spoke briefly to introduce Hailey and explain the values she embodies that so perfectly align with the values of the brand: living cleanly and with kindness. “Women have the ability to make small choices that lead to great differences,” Jill said. One of those is, of course, choosing beauty products that are clean for your skin and the environment. Our new ambassadors, Jill explained, we’re chosen because they’re “people who share our values and are part of our family.” We invite you to meet them all here:

Hailey Baldwin, Model

“Clean beauty in all its forms is important to me and I love the fact that bareMinerals can deliver on this promise and still create products that are amazing for skin. I was raised to embrace a healthy lifestyle, which involved everything from eating organic food to treating people around me with compassion. I’m excited that my partnership with bareMinerals allows me to celebrate a world I already embrace every day.”

The Power of Good campaign not only values products that make a difference, but also shows how feeling good and doing good can impact people around you.”

Letitia Wright, Actress

“To me, the Power of Good represents positivity, love and honesty. I try to live my life not just for myself, but in a way that’s also beneficial to others. The Power of Good means sharing your talents and the best side of yourself. Clean beauty offers peace of mind because you can trust the ingredients that you’re putting on your skin.”

– Letitia Wright, bareMinerals Power of Good Ambassador

Letitia’s Power of Good message: “Be full of confidence and free of fear.”

Nikki DeRoest, Celebrity Makeup Artist

“As a makeup artist, I can’t risk using products that don’t provide efficacious results every time. I also can’t risk the quality of people’s skin in order to create a red carpet-worthy look. With bareMinerals, I don’t have to compromise. The incredible textures and mineral-rich ingredients are clean and good for skin without sacrificing performance.”

Pillow Talk with Olivia Culpo

NEWS PEOPLE

Olivia Culpo at the bareMinerals + Cosmopolitan National Sleepover Day party

As part of our epic National Sleepover Day event in Times Square, we hosted a chat between fashion and beauty influencer Olivia Culpo and Cosmopolitan’s Chief Beauty Director Leah Wyar. Read on for some of our favorite moments from their conversation on slumber parties, DIY beauty, and the bareMinerals foundation that saved her in high school.

What’s your recipe for an epic slumber party?
Sleepovers are the best! Most of the time I bring my own pillow and I have a blanket that I love because its so fuzzy. I also have a heating blanket that I just absolutely love. I can sleep anywhere because it’s so comfortable.

What’s one fun sleepover tip that anyone can do at home?
You can make face masks with avocado, coconut oil or honey. I love going online and searching “At home DIY masks” with my sisters or my friends. It’s so fun!

When you’re sharing beauty secrets, which bareMinerals product do you recommend to your friends?
I would have to say bareMinerals Original Foundation saved my life when I was growing up because I was at that weird stage when I didn’t know what foundation even was and I didn’t want to wear a heavy amount of makeup. I was going to my all-girls school everyday and I didn’t want to spend a lot of time getting ready. But the swirl, tap, buff was so easy. It gave me the perfect amount of coverage and I never broke out. It also didn’t make me look really oily. It’s really the hottest commodity for someone who wants coverage without being too heavy, cakey, or shiny. It’s kind of everything you need!

Why is it important for you to wear makeup so pure you can sleep in it?
How many people at home are happy to hear that you don’t have to take off your makeup? I wish everything was like that.

What do you normally wear to bed?
It kind of depends. If I’m cold, which sometimes happens on the East Coast, I’ll wear sweatpants and a hoodie and just be so, so cozy. That’s my favorite place to be—we all have those moments when we are dreaming about going to bed and being in our pajamas. Sometimes I do like to wear a nightgown; to me its fun, and even a little sexy. The time that you spend getting ready for bed is your “you” time so sometimes it’s kind of fun to get “dressed up” to go to bed.

Do you have any nighttime rules or rituals that get you ready to go to bed?
This is a very strange habit of mine but I cannot go to bed unless my room is clean. All the clothes are put away and dishes aren’t in the sink, otherwise it just bugs me. I don’t want to wake up to it. I want to wake up to everything clean, fresh, and lovely.

Last but not least, what’s your slumber party secret?
My confession is, “Peanut butter is my kryptonite!” Which is true. I can eat a whole jar. I could have a pint of ice cream and a jar of peanut butter and I would be happy for the rest of my life!

National Sleepover Day Takes Over Times Square

NEWS

How was your National Sleepover Day? Ours was pretty amazing, if we may say so ourselves. Yes, May 9, 2017 was a memorable one as we teamed up with Cosmopolitan, Sephora and Olivia Culpo to host the ultimate slumber party—right in the middle of New York’s Times Square.

bareMinerals makeovers happened live in Times Square

The guest of honor was our Original Foundation, which is makeup so pure you can actually fall asleep in it—without clogging pores or causing breakouts. It was this fact that inspired us to set up a giant, dreamy bedroom on Broadway complete with vanities, flowers, a pillow-packed bed, and all the mineral makeup you could ever dream of.

Our team was on hand (in pink #sleepinthebare bathrobes) to guide guests through the ultimate slumber party. The first step was a makeover, of course, and our artists listened to countless women talk about their makeup needs, passions and frustrations to ensure that each one walked away feeling and looking like her best self. After lots of swirling, tapping and buffing, guests were in for some good old fashioned pillow talk—everyone has a good secret, and the ladies were invited to bare it all, creating custom pillow cases with their confessions. Some of our favorites were the fearless ambitions (“I’m gonna be the Kylie Jenner of nursing”) and sweet secrets (“Peanut butter is my kryptonite!” Olivia divulged). Last but not least, all our bare beauties posed with their confessions, so check out #sleepinthebare on Instagram to see more.

Two attendees bare their slumber party secrets

When Olivia wasn’t chatting with fans or jumping on the bed, she talked makeup and slumber parties with Cosmo’s Chief Beauty Director Leah Wyar and you don’t want to miss that candid conversation (hint: she’s totally a dare person).

Going Bare in the Desert: A Weekend at Coachella

NEWS BEAUTY

Ah, Coachella. Once an indie concert in the desert, the annual spring event has sprung into two star-studded weekends that pack in the best parties, solidify summer trends, and leave everyone’s skin a little on the dry side.

For weekend one, we partnered with Republic Records to bring a whole bar of unreleased bare product (read on for more!) plus some moisture-packed favorites to two intimate parties at the Hyde Away, a gorgeous Palm Springs retreat for artists, VIPs and influencers attending the festival.

Friday night’s welcome treated guests to a barbeque and live performances by Justine Skye, DJ Storm and Hailee Steinfeld (who wowed the crowd with a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”), while Saturday’s pool party featured DJ sets including Joe Jonas of DNCE, plus a photo booth tucked inside a custom helicopter (yes, you read that right).

All the while we were soaking up the vibe and getting people selfie-ready from an unusually breezy bare “boutique”: a gauzy tent where the likes of Emma Roberts, Sofia Carson and Ashley Tisdale could sample a bold new extension of our bestselling Gen Nude® mineral lipstick line. Attendees also traded tips on their desert essentials, and if you’re headed to weekend two, our super moisturizing Complexion Rescue was called out as a Coachella-friendly product.

But back to that new product we brought along… in a statement-making assortment of colors and the same moisturizing formulas that made Gen Nude® a hit, our new lip lineup brought high-impact, festival-ready fun.

We can’t wait to bring it to all to you just in time for summer—stay tuned!

Truly Original: Our #30Originals Pixel Art Contest

NEWS PEOPLE

That picture up there should look vaguely familiar. First off, it’s pixel art, which may remind you of needlepoint, a mosaic, Super Mario or Cory Arcangel, depending where your interests lie. Second, it’s made up of none other than our bestselling, award-winning, 5 mineral Original Foundation.

In case you missed it, Original Foundation now comes in a gorgeous assortment of 30 mineral shades. It’s that expanded color range that inspired us to create original artwork of (hopefully) you, using 900 foundation pots to make our very own take on pixel art.

If you’re interested in getting your portrait made (and a gift card!), here’s how our contest works:
1. Take a close-up selfie of your face. Pro tip: It’ll look extra pretty if you’re wearing Original Foundation, but it’s not required.
2. Post your photo on Instagram and tag both #30Originals and #bareContest.

And that’s it! Post your photo by April 21, and you’ll be entered in the drawing to win an original pixel art portrait and a $50 bareMinerals gift card. For all the rules and fine print, go to bareminerals.com/barecontest. Good luck!
