Love a dewy skin tint? You’re certainly not alone. Natural, glowing makeup will never go out of style due to its versatility, simplicity and ease. Not to mention, it’s universally flattering and keeps your skin healthy and hydrated. Using COMPLEXION RESCUE Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 is one of the best ways to achieve this type of look — it evens your skin tone while adding hydration benefits plus mineral-based SPF. I love it because it picks up your natural highlights, so you get that beautiful natural dew on the cheekbones and higher points of the face.
This product really is the ultimate multi-tasker. You get your hydration, your sun protection and your makeup — without it being overpowering. While it’s a gorgeous complexion product on its own, you can also mix it with a liquid highlighter to add even more luminosity.
Here, I’m showing you how to achieve an effortless clean bare glow using our fan-favorite tinted moisturizer, along with some other best-loved products.
What you’ll need:
COMPLEXION RESCUE Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 (Hailey’s shade is Buttercream 03)
Smoothing Face Brush
GEN NUDE Powder Blush in shade Pretty in Pink
Blooming Blush Brush
MINERALIST Lip Gloss-Balm in shade Heart
GEN NUDE Eyeshadow Palette in Copper
Shade & Diffuse Eye Brush
LASHTOPIA Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara
BROW MASTER Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil (Hailey’s shade is Chestnut)
How to achieve a dewy skin tint look:
-Proper skin prep helps any foundation look its best, but this step is particularly important if you’re going for a dewy, fresh complexion. The SKINLONGEVITY Long Life Herb Serum is great because it gives your skin a boost of hydration and a beautiful, healthy finish. Apply 1-2 pumps all over the face.
-Now it’s time for complexion. You can apply the COMPLEXION RESCUE Tinted Moisturizer with your fingertips or with the Smoothing Face Brush — it just depends on your preference! If you’re using a brush, dot the product onto your face first, then buff it out with the Smoothing Face Brush. If you’re using your fingers, I like to dispense the product onto my fingertips and blend it on as I would a moisturizer.
Want to build it up? Apply additional product by stippling on with a brush or pressing with your fingertips.
Another thing I love to do with COMPLEXION RESCUE Tinted Moisturizer is apply ORIGINAL Loose Mineral Foundation over it with a fluffier brush (like our Supreme Finisher Brush) so I’m just getting a dusting of loose minerals to get a bit more coverage yet keeping that naturally luminous finish.
-Next, apply blush to the apples of your cheeks and sweep upward towards your temples in small strokes. By sweeping in strokes, you have a little more control to build the color as needed. Remember, it’s always easier to add than remove!
-To create a seamless wash of color on your eyes, use the shade Aura from the GEN NUDE Eyeshadow Palette in Copper. Apply from your top lash line to your crease, wrapping around your lower lash line. Then, use a matte shade like Gypsy in your crease to add shape to the contours of your eye. Finish with 1-2 coats of LASHTOPIA Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara
-Brush your eyebrows up and out to see the natural shape. With the BROW MASTER Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil, fill in your brows using short strokes that follow the natural growth of the hair. I recommend starting at your arch first, then working to your outer tail. We tend to have thicker hair at the front inner part of the brow — by working outward, you’ll avoid over filling.
-Finish your look with a glossy lip. Start by applying MINERALIST Lip Gloss-Balm in Heart at the center of your lower lip and work outward. Repeat on the top lip, starting at the center peak and working outward. For a more sheer application, press your lips together after applying to the bottom lip to blend the product out.
