Being a beauty company, we’re surrounded daily by fearless women. (Lucky us.) Be it lifelong customers, strangers on the street or people at HQ, we exist to make a positive difference in all women’s lives. In honor of International Women’s Day, we walked around the office and asked people a simple question. What woman in your life has inspired you and why? Ok, maybe that was two questions. Here are their answers. Hint, hint…moms rule.

Alison Reid

“My spitfire of a mom continues to be one of the single greatest influences in my life. Leading by example (and some strict rules when I was a teenager), her kind and compassionate heart, selfless spirit and confident mind only provide a mere glimpse into the extraordinary woman that has been a truly inspiring teacher, role model and dear friend throughout my life.”
-Alison R. (VP of Public Relations)

“Growing up, my aunt, AJ taught me the importance of being kind and giving back through donations or volunteering.”
-Lily W. (Talent Development Manager)

“My mom taught me how to be a good daughter, a good sister, a good mother and a good wife. She taught me how to be strong, how to take care of myself and my family, and how to feel good about myself.”
-Elizabeth G. (Director of Global Education)

Elsa Stavig

“My mom has been my biggest fan and biggest support of all my hopes and dreams. From the time I wanted to be a movie star, a politician, a garbage man, a princess, a teacher, and a ballerina…she believed that I could do all those things.”
-Elsa S. (District Manager)
