Setting Powder

Setting powder does exactly what it’s named for–it sets your makeup in place. After you’ve applied liquid foundation, concealer, a creamy bronzer and a highlighter stick, you need some form of powder to set everything in its place otherwise the natural oils in your skin may lead to smudged makeup. Luckily, our finishing powder won't’ let that happen.

Because our talc free setting powder is made with natural minerals, it’s weightless, absorbs any excess oils, and won’t settle into any fine lines. Instead, you can expect an airbrushed finish when you layer our translucent powder on top of your foundation makeup. We promise–you’ll love the results.

Unlike foundations or concealers, finishing powders aren’t meant to add any extra coverage. Instead, they’re formulated to soak up oils and blur any imperfections. Because of this, setting powders are often loose and translucent so you can easily sweep it all across your face. However, if you want more precise application, we recommend a pressed powder with a sponge under the eye or around the nose.

Our collection of talc-free setting powders and alcohol-free sprays is designed to extend makeup wear while caring for your skin. Whether you need a matte finish to control oil, a matte spray, or a sweat-proof, smudge-proof mist that lasts through long days, bareMinerals has you covered. With added SPF protection in select powders, these clean formulas are perfect for oily, combination, and sensitive skin. Pair your flawless finish with our foundation collection for a complete, skin-improving routine.

Our Mineral Veil® talc-free powders help absorb excess oil, blur imperfections, and control shine without clogging pores — making them ideal for oily and combination skin.

Yes. Choose our Mineral Veil® Setting Powder with Broad Spectrum SPF 25 or the Set + Protect Brush with SPF 25 for on-the-go sun protection with a soft matte finish.

A matte spray helps control oil and shine for a natural finish, while a dewy setting spray gives skin a fresh, radiant glow. Both formulas help your makeup last longer and stay comfortable.

To apply loose setting powder, lightly dust the powder across your T-zone, cheeks or all over your face with a fluffy brush. This also works for applying pressed powder all over the face. For targeted application or touch ups using pressed powder, use the included puff to lightly press into the powder then gently press and roll onto areas where desired. These techniques help set your makeup and control shine.
