Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please Bring These Liners Back!!! I have been using this liner for years in quite a selection of colors but especially turquoise sea. As you've been discontinuing more colors I just went with what you had available. At this point there is nothing left for me anymore. I love how this liner applied and it's staying power. It was something unique that other makeup companies did not carry. Please bring it back! I've been on the search with different brands but nothing compares....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I agree what happened to the coffee bean liner-shadow? I also have used it for years and just ran out of my extra one? Was searching everywhere. If you're not bringing it back what color is comparable? Thanks, Angela

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Where's "retro" I've been using retro shadow liner (black shade) for a long time now. That color seems to be sold out everywhere. I'm out now. Is it discontinued?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coffee Bean Liner??? What happened to "Coffee Bean" Shadow Liner? I have been using it for years and now I can't find it anywhere. Why would you get rid of it? Reading other comments, it seems like I"m not the only one wondering why you would get rid of a staple product. Companies seem to be discontinuing perfect, basic products in an effort to be more "innovative" all its doing it forcing long time customers to look for alternatives elsewhere. Bring it back please!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Where oh where have all our colors gone?!?! I have worn Bare Minerals for as long as I have been wearing makeup and my absolute favorite shade of powder eyeliner, Onyx, a very beautiful dark black, has just up and disappeared. I am so disappointed because I have tried the new pencil liner but it smudges and comes off on my eyelash curler when I use it and there is no way I could get a nice crisp cat eye look with it. Now the only "black" that is offered is a dark grey color and when I use it my eyelashes look sparse because my mascara is so much darker than the liner. Now I have to go search for an eyeliner that works for me because Bare Minerals has nothing to offer. Truly disappointed long time customer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stop discontinuing shades of liner shadows!! I've been using "Legit" shadow liner for years and it is now discontinued and out of stock even through other online vendors. I'm so bummed!!! I cannot use pencil liners and there are only very select pigments that my eyes aren't highly allergic to (red, watery, thick goopy eyes within 3 hrs of using other colors). Any comparible suggestions? I have green eyes so I loved the legit for that reason also with its plum tone. All blues are out with my eye allergy, it must be a common ingredient in the blue hues. I see so many other comments regarding old favorites/classics being discontinued. Why mess with perfection?! I realize you want people to break out of their she'll and try new colors but for some of us that's just not possible and the potential for losing your oldest customers is great if they find a product in another line to replace their discontinued products. Please take your reviews and feedback to heart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where is tortoise color? The 5 stars is for my favorite color, Tortoise. I've used this same color almost every day for over 10 years. It's perfect for my hazel eyes. But it's apparently not an option anymore. I don't like liquid liner and will never use it. And I'm disenchanted with the changes made in Bare Minerals since Leslie sold the company, the products are trending toward younger women, less useful for "lifespan" customers. Please bring back the Tortoise eye liner color, it's lovely. And I won't have to consider going to a new makeup company. Thank you

Can this be used on the waterline or for tight lining?

    Asked by: cjsinny
Hello cjsinny, We do not recommend using this in your water line. This would be suitable for eyelid, upper lash line, or lower lash lines.

What is the difference between using liner shadows and the regular eyeshadows as eye liners?

Besides colors, I was wondering if there was any difference between the two products when used as eyeliner (with water added). Obviously the colors are different, but with the regular eyeshadow products, you get 2X the amount for the same price as the liner shadows. Are the liner shadows longer lasting/less flaky? Or is there no true difference besides color and amount?
    Asked by: MsNat
BIG difference between liners and shadows. The liners have a much higher ratio of pigment to carrier. Most of the shadows are not sufficiently dense in pigment to work as liners.

I'm looking for one that's a little lighter brown and doesn't have alot of shimmer or glimmer like the Bark liner I have?

Coffee Bean looks like it doesn't have glimmer in it but it looks very close to Bark color. I would like something a little more light brownish. Not sure if liners are finer in texture than shadows cause I could get a shadow to use as a liner I guess. Does anyone know?
    Asked by: onthetrack5
Tigers Eye is lighter than Bark, but has a lot of glimmer. Firefly is even lighter, but again, has a lot of glimmer. Coffee Bean does NOT have glimmer. I don't own Bark yet. As far as I can tell, the difference between the liners and the shadows is the ratio of pigment to carrier. If you put a touch of powder onto a brush, and wipe it across the back of your hand, and see a sheer color, then your powder does not have enough pigment to be used as a liner. I do use two "shadows" as liners.

How do I keep this eyeliner from transferring to my upper lid/outer corners?

I love that these eyeliners last forever. And I can make a really thin tight line and then wing it out in a really precise cat eye. However, I find that after a while, the color from the eyeliner is transferring to my upper lid and outer corner of my eye. I have been applying this with a wet brush and still, it transfers. Any ideas? Primer? Can I use Prime Time on my eyes, too? Would that help? Do tell.
    Asked by: erinshelly
You might try moisturizer at night, then primer, with powder on top. The eyeliners are more prone to transfer if they touch moist skin. By having powder as the top layer of your eyes, the surface will be dry. A good primer will retain the night's moisture.
