What it is:

5 CLEAN INGREDIENTS

ORIGINAL Loose Mineral Foundation SPF 15 is the iconic mineral makeup that started the clean beauty revolution in 1995. Formulated with just 5 clean mineral ingredients — and without any unnecessary additives, binders, fillers or talc — it's MAKEUP SO PURE AND CLEAN YOU CAN SLEEP IN IT.

GOOD FOR SKIN COVERAGE

This skin-loving, vegan formula cares as it covers, promoting clearer, healthier-looking skin over time. Customize your coverage from sheer to full with this effortlessly buildable formula that wears all day without clogging pores, causing breakouts or settling into fine lines.

That’s why it’s is the #1 mineral foundation in the U.S.* Available in 30 shades that flatter every skin type and tone, it's makeup with a no-makeup look and feel.

MINERAL-BASED SUN PROTECTION

With mineral-based, non-chemical Broad Spectrum SPF 15, ORIGINAL Foundation also protects from damaging UVA/UVB rays. Unlike chemical sunscreens that absorb UV rays, mineral-based sunscreens work to immediately block UV rays from absorbing into the skin. Containing the active minerals Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide, mineral-based sunscreens provide physical protection from the sun.

EFFORTLESS APPLICATION

When you use our signature SWIRL, TAP, BUFF application method, the mineral pigments warm up and transform from powder to a silky cream that blends seamlessly onto your skin. Easy to use, this weightless mineral foundation gives you natural-looking coverage that never looks cakey.

Our online Foundation Shade Finder makes it easy to choose your shade. You can also stop by a bareMinerals boutique for a free Shade Matching consultation.

SWIRL, TAP, BUFF® Our signature application method will give you buildable, seamless, natural-looking coverage! We recommend applying with our [https://www.bareminerals.com/makeup/makeup-brushes/face-brushes/beautiful-finish-foundation-brush/US77069.html Beautiful Finish Brush], which deposits the ideal amount of minerals and fits perfectly into the cap. Step 1: SWIRL a small amount of foundation in the cap until it disappears into the brush. Step 2: TAP away any excess. Step 3: BUFF onto your skin in circular motions. This activates the minerals and transforms them from a powder to a silky cream. Repeat until you’ve achieved the coverage you want, from sheer to full. Click, Lock, Go™ Sifter Instructions 1. FOR FIRST TIME USE: Remove the clear tab inside to toss away. (Sifter is now in open position.) 2. Dispense product inside lid and begin “Swirl, Tap, Buff®” application. 3. When finished, grab the outer ridges of the sifter and turn to the right until it clicks. (The click indicates the sifter is in closed position.)* 4. Close jar lid. 5. FOR CONTINUED USE: Open jar lid and turn the sifter to the left until it clicks into open position. *To stop the flow of product, always close the sifter prior to placing jar lid back on.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

  • I have a very oily forehead and tend to be dry/normal everywhere else. I loved the coverage, but found it to be very drying (almost to the point of making my skin so tight you could see the lines from the tautness). This was also over a layer of sunscreen

    Asked by: SaraG
Hi SaraG, We suggest applying Combo Control Milky Face Primer before this foundation to smooth the appearance of the skin and extend the wear of your makeup application.

I mix almost-equal amounts of original Fairly Light N10 and original Light 08, leaning very slightly towards using a tiny bit more Fairly Light N10. What single color is most like this combination? Thanks! Really appreciate the Q&A section, so helpful!

    Asked by: bijouloni
Hi bijouloni, Thank you for your support; We are so glad that you find our Q&A helpful! We suggest trying Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Golden Ivory 07 as a happy medium between the two shades you currently combine. We hope this helps!

I inquired about a shade a few weeks ago. The answer I got was to use “Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Warm Natural 12.” There isn’t an option for Warm Natural (for original loose) and number 12 is Medium Beige. Did they mean Medium Beige 12?

    Asked by: Mtdowner
Hi Mtdowner, We apologize for any misunderstanding. Medium Beige 12 in our Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and Warm Natural 12 in our barePRO Performance Wear Pressed Powder Foundation are both ideal for light to medium skin with neutral undertones. We think you could wear either or both based on your preference!

Hello, I’ve used Estée Lauder’s double wear foundation in Warm Vanilla and recently started to use Complexion Rescue. When I try to enter this into the shade match, I’m getting 2 different results - Warm Ivory 07 and Fairly Light 03. What shade is right?

    Asked by: Jlee
HI Jlee, The main difference in our Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in shades Fairly Light 03 and Golden Ivory 07 is the skintone. Both of these shades are ideal for neutral to warm skintones but Fairly Light 03 is recommended for fair skin and Golden Ivory 07 is best for light skin.

Hello! I used the online tool to see which would match and it said Golden Medium. It was way too yellow and didn’t match. I also bought Summer Bisque Concealer which matches 100% is there a foundation the same color as Summer Bisque Concealer?

    Asked by: Mtdowner
Hi Mtdowner, We suggest Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Warm Natural 12 as it is a neutral undertone shade. We don't have a foundation to perfectly match Summer Bisque but think the shade we suggested will work very well with it.
