The Perfecting Face Foundation Brush was designed specifically to be used with bareSkin® Liquid Foundation to give you customizable light-to-full coverage with a beautifully natural finish. For best results, we recommend cleaning the liquid foundation brush regularly, allowing it to fully dry before each use. FOR FLAWLESS APPLICATION, USE THE SHAKE, DROP, BUFF METHOD • SHAKE the bareSkin® Liquid Foundation bottle well. • DROP 1-2 drops of foundation into the fluid reservoir of the Perfecting Face Brush. • BUFF onto the skin in a circular motion. 1. Shake the bareSkin bottle a few times before each use to be sure the skin brightening serum is properly mixed with the foundation. 2. Drop one to two drops into the special fluid reservoir of the Perfecting Face Brush to begin and move onto to Step 3. To increase coverage, you can add additional drops and repeat the buffing application. 3. Buff the mineral makeup onto your skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then buff around your face, working your way to the forehead, cheeks and nose. Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage, or add more drops to build coverage. PRO TIP: If you really want to treat your skin to something special, try mixing bareSkin® Foundation with your favorite primer, moisturizer or serum directly in the reservoir of the brush.

    I have this brush and it gets very greasy after only a few uses with the liquid make up. What's the best way to clean it?

    Hello snapsf, We recommend using either our QUICK CHANGE BRUSH CLEANER which is a daily brush cleaner or our WELL-CARED FOR™ BRUSH CONDITIONING SHAMPOO that you can use 2-3x a month for the best results. We also recommend allowing your brush to dry well and bristle side down.

    Hello AndreaHC, The Perfecting Face Brush can be used with powder however, it is intended for liquid foundation as you can apply liquid foundations to the center and buff out.

    How do I clean this brush?

    What's the best cleanser to use? What's the proper way to clean it?

    I use the Bare Minerals brush cleanser and follow their directions to a "T." I make sure to keep the bristles pointing down so as not to gather water in the metal collar. I have never had a problem using this routine.

    How do I keep the bristles from falling out after washing? How often do I need to wash?

    Very concerned that this expensive brush is going to fall apart after I wash it based on the reviews I've seen here. What to do?

    I washed mine very carefully using the Bare Minerals brush cleaner, making sure to keep the brush pointing down so water would not gather in the top. I never saw a single bristle fall out and the brush dried every bit as nicely as when infirst got it.

    I've been having issues cleaning my Perfecting Face Brush even after watching the video and washing it often. The foundation never seems to end. Tips?

    I am using the Perfecting Face Brush with the bareSkin Foundation and washing it once a week with the Well-Cared For Brush Shampoo. Whenever I wash it, I tend to repeat the wash about 7 times and there is still excess foundation coming out. Do you have any tips for cleaning the brush? Will washing it twice a week wear out the brush? Thanks!

    The last time I washed mine, it took about five rinses to get the foundation out. It's possible you're using too much foundation, though the complaint that the brush is hard to clean is rather common from other reviews I have read online. You shouldn't need to wash it twice a week (once a week should be plenty).

You can watch that of course, or here is the summary: wash it like any other make up brush, using brush shampoo (like the one from BM) or baby shampoo. Either way, it is definitely a good idea to wash your brushes so they stay in the best condition!
