Our team suggests:

We recommend applying with your fingertips. If brush is preferred, you can also apply with the Smoothing Face Brush.

SHAKE WELL before applying to incorporate the mattifying mineral powders uniformly and evenly into skin.  

Squeeze a pea size amount onto the fingertips.

Apply beginning on the cheeks at the center of the face, blending outward.

Work onto skin until the product is fully blended. 

Allow time to dry down to its natural matte finish. 

To build coverage where needed, press a small amount of product on with your fingertips. 


Pro Tips:

    Great product, if not great value

    Since my preferred Clinique city block SPF25 has been out of stock for weeks, I bought this and the non-matte bare minerals tinted moisturiser version to compare. To wear alone, the matte was my preference as it had better coverage and less shine. But I usually wear it with the barepro 24h pressed powder foundation, in which case my preference was the non-matte. Both lasted well and looked the same after a full day of wear, but the non-matte went much further. I needed to use more matte to cover the same area. I’d previously tried the primer and found it didn’t last long enough. So I was really pleased with the performance of both tinted moisturisers, it just seems a lot of money for quite a small tube, hence non-matte is better value if wearing under another product.

    A disappointment!

    I had high hopes for this product as I like many of Bare Minerals’ products. However, it just doesn’t go on smoothly. It always looks a bit mottled on the skin. I have clear skin with little discoloration or redness so it’s the formula that is making it look streaked and patchy. Not to mention it is very drying. I use their mineral powder foundation and it’s beautiful, silky, not drying and a smooth light coverage BUT only a 15 SPF. I was hoping this product would be the same in performance with a higher SPF. Nope! Just a no for me and a disappointment.

    Perfect for summer!

    I really like the consistency and ease of applying this tinted moisturizer. My skin tone is between light (definitely not fair) and medium with cool undertones, so I ordered Suede 04. It’s the color I need to match my lightly tanned summer skin. I’ll need to order a slightly lighter shade for our MN winters. I am very pleased to have tried Bare Minerals and highly recommend this tinted moisturizer.

    Not Matte, Not for Oily Skin

    This tinted moisturizer goes on nicely and blends well into the skin. However, there is no matte finish at all no matter how little is used. My face actually looks shinier after this is applied and does not get any better even after getting a chance to set into the skin. If needing just a tinted moisturizer with SPF 30, then it is fine, but if needing it to help minimize oiliness, then this is not the one.

    I have used this product a few times and have not found it to cover well. Not sure what happens with it but I usually apply moisturizer first and then the product but it does not go on smooth. Excess likes to “roll” up into little balls and not go into my skin. It ends up looking cakey.
