Beautiful colors. But when applied, the lighter colors barely show on the skin. Not enough color saturation. But I still like it.
The colors are beautiful. I love this palette. You have to keep making it.
As much as I loved the colors on the palette, they had such poor color payoff when applied that I eventually returned them — and my skin is fair enough that they really should have showed up! I tried applying them with fingers, sponge tipped applicators, and different brushes on bare skin, next on a plain powder base, then with regular primer, and eventually with a specific eye primer. They just did not stick to my lids or even the brushes well enough to develop noticeable color. There was a lot of fallout in the pans, too, which felt like wasted product. I do not want to spend ages applying layer after layer of the same shade to build it up enough to get the color in the pan to show up on my face. It should be one or two strokes and done IMO. The only reason I’m giving this palette three stars instead of one is because it doesn’t irritate my eyes or make my lids look wrinkly like cream sticks do.
I’m sorry to say that I’ll be sticking with BareMinerals loose powder eye shadows in the future rather than buying their pressed palettes. They’re by far a superior product, and it’s a shame they’re so expensive and do not have the same variety of colors available that they used to. At very least, I’m grateful this company uses safe ingredients and stands by their return policy to make the returns process so easy. Shoutout to customer service for taking good care of me!
